“Islamic Resistance in Iraq” Announces Joint Operation with Sanaa Forces in the Mediterranean Sea

The “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” announced a joint operation with the Sanaa government forces on Monday in the Mediterranean Sea.

In a statement, they said: “Continuing our resistance against occupation, and in support of our people in Palestine, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, in cooperation with the Yemeni armed forces, carried out a military operation in the Mediterranean Sea yesterday, targeting the ship ‘Olvia,’ which was successfully hit.”

The “Islamic Resistance” confirmed in its statement that “operations will continue to strike enemy strongholds with increasing intensity.”

The Sanaa government forces had announced on Monday evening the execution of three significant military operations in the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.

Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e, the spokesperson for the Sanaa forces, said: “In support of the oppressed Palestinian people and in response to the massacre in Khan Yunis, the Yemeni armed forces conducted three significant military operations.”

Sare’e added: “The first operation targeted the ship ‘BENTLEY I’ in the Red Sea, the second targeted the oil tanker ‘CHIOS Lion’ in the Red Sea, and the third was carried out jointly with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq in the Mediterranean Sea, targeting the ship ‘Olvia’.”

Both parties have been announcing joint operations for some time, as part of coordinated efforts to “support the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and aid the Palestinian people.”
