Sana’a Government Forces Broadcast Footage of “Yafa” Drone Launch to Tel Aviv and Reveal Specifications

NYN | News

The Sana’a government forces have released footage showcasing the “Yafa” drone, which they claim struck a significant target in Tel Aviv. The video includes some specifications of the drone and the moment it was launched towards Tel Aviv.

The footage displays the drone, marked with the name “Yafa” and the phrase “Made in Yemen,” surrounded by banners bearing the slogans of the Houthi Ansar Allah movement and its leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi.

Some of the drone’s specifications were highlighted, including its “long range,” “multi-task capabilities,” “high-explosive warhead,” and “stealth systems against radar and air defenses.”

The clip features multiple angles of the drone’s launch and its flight over the region, while members of the Sana’a forces chant, “Allahu Akbar (God is Great)… Death to America… Death to Israel… Curse the Jews… Victory to Islam… At your service, O Aqsa.”

On the morning of Friday, July 19, the Sana’a forces announced that they had targeted Tel Aviv with a stealth drone, resulting in the destruction of a building, killing one person, and causing several injuries.

In retaliation, Israeli warplanes targeted oil storage facilities and the power plant in the port city of Hodeidah, western Yemen, on Saturday, killing six people, leaving three missing, and injuring 83, according to sources including the Ministry of Health of the Sana’a government.

On Sunday, the leader of the Houthi Ansar Allah movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, stated that Israel’s deterrence capabilities have ended, and that the Israeli strike on Hodeidah was for “show purposes for their audience.”

Since November 2023, the Sana’a forces have continued their attacks in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean, and Mediterranean Sea against Israeli ships or those linked to Israel, in “support of the Palestinian people in Gaza” who are under continuous Israeli aggression.
