Haaretz Publishes Expected Scenario of Simultaneous, Multiple Attacks from Iran, Lebanon, and Yemen on Israel

The Israeli newspaper Haaretz has published a report highlighting the expected scenario in Israel in the event of simultaneous attacks from multiple fronts using different types of weapons. The report specifically focuses on the extensive arsenals possessed by Iran, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) in Yemen.

The report, titled “Ring of Fire Around Israel: A Look at the Arsenals of Iran, Hezbollah, and the Houthis,” states that “Israel’s enemies could put its air defenses to a test it has never faced before.”

It highlights the unprecedented state of confusion within Israel, which is anticipating a response from Iran and its allies following the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, and Fouad Shukr, a commander in Hezbollah.

According to the report: “The various means of attack, coupled with the threat of coordinated strikes from multiple fronts, will challenge Israel’s ability to intercept projectiles and warn its citizens. An Iranian attack, similar to the one in April which involved the use of drones, might provide early warning, but Hezbollah has the capability to launch a large number of precision missiles, giving Israel only 60-90 seconds of warning time, or perhaps less, making it the greatest threat to Israel’s air defense system.”

The newspaper notes that “estimates suggest Hezbollah possesses 150,000 rockets and missiles of varying ranges, many of which are located close to Israel’s borders. The full use of these capabilities would challenge Israel’s ability to provide early warning to its citizens and effectively intercept projectiles.”

It adds that Hezbollah’s arsenal includes precision missiles, and if these are used, “Israel will have only a few minutes to locate and intercept them.” The report also highlights the threat posed by Hezbollah’s anti-tank Kornet missiles, which have already caused significant Israeli casualties and damage throughout northern occupied Palestine. Additionally, the report mentions various types of drones, some of which can cover all of occupied Palestine and are difficult for Israel’s air defense systems to intercept.

The report also mentions that during Iran’s previous attack on Israel, it used cruise missiles, which are characterized by shorter warning times and greater accuracy.

Regarding the threat from Yemen, the newspaper confirms the success of the Houthis in targeting Tel Aviv, killing and injuring several Israelis in the recent attack that was carried out using a long-range “Yafa” drone. This threat may be repeated in the next attack, potentially including the use of precision cruise missiles that are difficult to intercept.

Haaretz concludes its report by stating: “While Hezbollah poses the greatest threat, a combination of threats, especially if launched simultaneously against Israel, would pose a significant challenge to Israel’s defense systems.”
