Chinese Channel: Hypersonic Missiles in Houthi Hands Pose a Serious Crisis for Netanyahu and Israel’s Security

The Chinese channel Jing Jing confirmed that the launch of a hypersonic missile by Sanaa government forces toward Israel’s depths on September 15 marks a serious crisis for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The channel added that Israel’s air defenses were unable to intercept the missile, revealing a significant vulnerability for Israel against this type of weapon. It discussed the Houthis showcasing their new missile capabilities, emphasizing that Netanyahu’s continued fighting without pursuing a ceasefire in Gaza could worsen his internal and external crises.
The channel’s report stated: “More than ten days ago, Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi announced his intention to use the latest ground technologies to strike enemies like the U.S. and Israel. At the time, everyone speculated about the nature of the new technology the Houthis possessed, wondering if they had found a new weapon in the desert.”
It added, “The answer has now been revealed, as the Houthis officially announced their new technology: hypersonic missiles.”
The channel explained that on September 15, the Israeli Defense Forces reported the launch of a ground-to-ground missile from Yemen, which landed in an empty area in central Israel. Although there were no human casualties, the attack caused widespread fear because the Houthis’ missiles had never previously reached this depth inside Israel.
This means that Israel’s air defenses were unable to intercept the missile, leaving Israel’s interior fully exposed and vulnerable to Houthi attacks.
Israel attempted to provide various explanations for the interception failure. Israeli media cited military sources suggesting that the “Arrow-3” missile defense system may not have been suitable for intercepting this type of missile. It was also claimed that the interception was partial, preventing casualties. Some reports mentioned that the missile disintegrated in Israeli airspace, with only its fragments falling, which was considered a successful interception.
However, the channel asserted that the real reason for the interception failure lies in the use of hypersonic missiles, which even the U.S. military struggles to intercept, let alone the Israeli army.
The channel noted that “on September 15, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree announced that the Houthis used a new hypersonic missile to strike deep inside Israel, covering a distance of 2,040 kilometers in 11 and a half minutes. This speed is approximately Mach 9, consistent with hypersonic missile standards.”
It added, “According to Israeli media, Israeli forces confirmed that the missile took around 11 minutes from launch to impact, indicating that the Houthis did not exaggerate its speed but rather provided a slightly conservative figure, definitively proving that the missile was hypersonic.”
Jing Jing emphasized that the emergence of hypersonic missiles in Houthi hands poses a significant challenge for Netanyahu, who is already facing protests and severe criticism within Israel.
The channel concluded its report by stating that the Houthis’ demonstration of their ability to strike deep inside Israel at this critical time may further complicate Netanyahu’s position, especially if he insists on continuing the fighting and rejecting a ceasefire. This would exacerbate his internal and external problems simultaneously, and his end will not be favorable.
