Hypersonic Missile from Yemen Causes Loud Explosion in Tel Aviv, Spreading Panic Among Settlers

NYN | News

Early Tuesday, Israeli media reported the launch of a hypersonic missile from Yemen targeting the Gush Dan area in Tel Aviv, where a loud explosion was heard in the city.

Israeli media confirmed that the Israeli military’s defense systems attempted to intercept the missile over Tel Aviv, but no sirens were activated.

According to Hebrew media outlets, more than 1.5 million Israelis in the Gush Dan area (which includes Tel Aviv, the central region, and part of the southern area) fled to shelters after hearing the explosions in Tel Aviv.

This incident coincides with the Israeli military announcing the start of a targeted ground operation against Hezbollah positions near the border with southern Lebanon.

In the early hours of the morning, sirens were heard in several Israeli settlements due to rockets being fired from Lebanon, according to Israeli media reports.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported the activation of sirens in Mount Meron and several towns in the Upper Galilee, noting that around 10 rockets exploded in various areas.

Meanwhile, Maariv reported that 35 rockets were launched from Lebanon into northern Israel within 40 minutes after midnight.
