The Sana’a government forces have announced an upcoming military statement to be released at 10:00 AM on Tuesday.
In a brief statement, the spokesperson for Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said, “An important statement from the Yemeni Armed Forces will be issued at 10:00 AM Sana’a time.”
This announcement comes just hours after reports that a hypersonic missile was launched from Yemen toward the “Gush Dan” area in Tel Aviv, where a loud explosion was heard in the city.
Israeli media confirmed that the Israeli military’s defense systems attempted to intercept the missile over Tel Aviv, but no sirens were activated.
According to Hebrew media, over 1.5 million Israelis in the Gush Dan area (which includes Tel Aviv, central Israel, and a small part of the southern region) rushed to shelters after hearing the explosions in Tel Aviv.
In a related development, the UK Maritime Trade Operations reported on Tuesday that they received information about an incident 64 nautical miles northwest of Hodeidah, Yemen, with authorities currently investigating the matter.
