Online Campaign Demands the Departure of Saudi Coalition Forces from Yemen Following the Death of Two Saudi Officers

Activists on social media have called for the departure of coalition forces from Yemen, expressing anger over what they describe as the harsh realities imposed by the coalition’s military presence.

This sentiment was voiced through an online campaign launched by activists on the platform X (formerly Twitter), under the slogan “Leave Our Land,” demanding the withdrawal of coalition forces from Yemen. They described the coalition’s presence as an occupation and a threat to Yemeni sovereignty.

The activists accused the coalition of creating difficult living conditions and undermining the authority of the Yemeni government by establishing armed groups and political councils loyal to them.

Local media reported that the anti-coalition campaign has gained significant traction on social media, becoming one of the most discussed topics.

The call for the coalition’s departure comes at the same time as the killing of two Saudi officers in Seiyun, Hadramaut Governorate.

Local media sources reported that Yemeni soldier Mohammed Saleh Al-Arosi, who served as an escort for high-ranking officers from the 135th Infantry Brigade under the command of Major General Yahya Abu Oja, commander of the First Military Region, opened fire on Saudi soldiers.

The incident resulted in the death of two Saudi soldiers and injuries to three others.

The casualties were reportedly among the entourage of the coalition’s representative in the First Military Region.
