On Tuesday, the United States took strict measures against Yemen, as the Trump administration decided to ban Yemenis from entering its territory, including those legally residing in the United States.
According to reports from sources within the Yemeni community in America, all Yemenis who arrived at U.S. airports in the past few hours have been sent back to their country. Among the major airports where these measures were implemented is Washington Dulles International Airport.
The sources explained that U.S. authorities justified the ban by alleging that Yemenis support the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) and Hamas.
This move marks a notable shift in U.S. policy toward Yemen, especially after the Trump administration, since taking office just days ago, began escalating its stance against Yemen, starting with the inclusion of the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) on its sanctions lists.
These measures came after the United States failed to contain Yemeni military operations in support of Gaza.
The ban on Yemenis entering U.S. territory is seen as an indicator of the collective punishment policy being pursued by the United States in an attempt to impose its agenda in the Red Sea region.
