The President of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, Mahdi Al-Mashat, participated in the Arab Summit held in Cairo through an official message addressed to the Arab leaders, in which he emphasized the importance of resistance as a necessary option to confront the Israeli occupation, stressing the need to not rely on UN resolutions or American promises, which he described as deceptive.
In his message, Al-Mashat stressed that the United States is a key partner of Israel in all its actions, plans, and crimes, calling for a broad Arab movement to break the siege on Gaza, rebuild it as quickly as possible, and confront the plans to displace Palestinians from their lands.
He also called for rejecting any decision that seeks to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank, considering such a move a blatant violation of Arab and Palestinian rights.
Al-Mashat urged Arab leaders to activate the principle of collective Arab defense, highlighting the importance of enhancing Arab solidarity to face common challenges. He also called for supporting targeted Arab countries, halting all forms of normalization with the Israeli entity, and withdrawing recognition of it. He emphasized the need to activate the economic boycott and cut off oil supplies to Israel in response to its crimes against the Palestinian people.
He further reaffirmed that confronting the American and Israeli expansionist plans in the region can only be achieved through Arab unity and the ending of internal conflicts, while also emphasizing the right of the Lebanese people to use all means to liberate areas still occupied by Israel in southern Lebanon.
Al-Mashat concluded his message by reaffirming that the Palestinian cause will remain the central issue for the Arab and Islamic nations, and that no one has the right to give up any inch of Palestine. He reiterated Yemen’s steadfast commitment to supporting the resistance in Gaza and Lebanon in any future round of the conflict.
