Israeli Disclosure on the Fall of the Sana’a Regime

NYN | News

In an analysis by Danny Siterinovitch from the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies, the Israeli expert confirmed that the measures taken by Israel and the international coalition against the Houthis (Ansar Allah) over the past year failed to achieve an effective deterrent that would force them to halt their attacks in the Bab al-Mandab Strait or against Israel in general.

Siterinovitch added that the military operations did not sever the Houthis’ close connection to what is happening in the Gaza Strip. On the contrary, the Houthis emerged stronger from their recent confrontation with the United States and Israel, and they now see themselves in a position where they are compelled to assist Hamas in Gaza.

Siterinovitch noted that these developments necessitate a reassessment of the strategy for confronting the Houthis, pointing out that despite the economic measures taken by the Trump administration against the Houthis, they did not have a significant impact on their position.

He also called for the Israeli entity to change its strategy by launching direct offensive operations against the Houthis (Ansar Allah), focusing on targeting their leadership, launching capabilities, and planning for a long-term campaign with the ultimate goal of overthrowing the Houthi regime.

This comes in parallel with the announcement from the Sana’a government that it is banning Israeli shipping in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab until humanitarian aid, including food and medicine, is allowed to enter the Gaza Strip.
