From the Heart of Europe: Outrage Against the U.S. Attack on Yemen

NYN | News

Hundreds of Yemeni expatriates in Germany issued a statement on Wednesday condemning the recent U.S. airstrikes on Yemen, which targeted residential areas and civilian facilities in several provinces, including Sanaa, Hodeidah, Al-Bayda, and Saada. The attacks resulted in the deaths of 53 civilians and left more than 100 others injured.

The Yemeni community described these assaults as a blatant violation of international law, stressing that they constitute war crimes that add to the record of American and British violations against Yemen.

The statement also delivered a sharp criticism of the international community, particularly the United Nations and the Security Council, for their failure to hold the U.S. accountable for its terrorist actions, which threaten Yemen’s stability and sovereignty.

It further highlighted that both local and international media reports have exposed the true face of U.S. policy—one that starves civilians and targets them with acts of genocide, thereby undermining the credibility of international bodies in protecting nations.

The Yemeni community held U.S. President Donald Trump and his administration responsible for the humanitarian catastrophe in Yemen. They called on people worldwide to show solidarity with Yemenis and Palestinians by sending humanitarian aid to Gaza and organizing massive protests to pressure for an end to the war.

The statement concluded with a call for Arabs, Muslims, and all free peoples to “break the silence” and reject oppression by engaging in popular and global campaigns to end the suffering in Yemen and Gaza, which, according to the statement, are witnessing horrific massacres with direct U.S. support.
