Sana’a: Direct Confrontation with the U.S. and Israel Has Reached Its Peak

NYN | News

The leader of the Houthis (Ansar Allah), Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, affirmed that Yemen is facing a joint war waged by the United States and Israel aimed at entrenching a policy of domination over the region and isolating the Palestinian people. He stated that Yemen’s stance in support of Gaza has provoked both Washington and Tel Aviv.

In a speech delivered last night, he said: “The American aggression against Yemen is part of our shared battle with the Israeli enemy. Washington has no legal or moral justification for its crimes.”

He pointed out that Yemen has now reached the stage of direct confrontation with the U.S. and Israel, describing this development as a strategic objective long sought by Yemenis.

“Throughout past phases, we had wished that the Arabs would let us engage in this direct confrontation with the enemy, instead of merely watching its crimes,” he added.

The Ansar Allah leader revealed that the air defenses of Sana’a forces have downed 17 American MQ-9 drones, calling the achievement unprecedented on a global scale.

He also mentioned that the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Truman is in a state of constant retreat due to Yemeni naval pursuit.

He warned neighboring Arab and African countries against becoming involved in supporting the American-Israeli aggression, saying: “We are not among those who watch crimes in silence. We are fulfilling our responsibility before God and human conscience.”

He reiterated that Yemen will continue its military and political support for the Palestinian people, rejecting all forms of American intimidation, and emphasizing that full reliance is placed on God—not on material power balances.

He concluded by saying: “This battle clearly distinguishes those who stand with truth from those who side with oppressors. Yemen made its choice from day one.”
