Chinese media is showing increasing interest in the military operations carried out by Sana’a against U.S. forces in the region, describing them as a notable shift in the balance of power and military tactics.
The Chinese platform “Baijiahao” stated in a striking report that the Houthis (Ansar Allah) have managed to use low-cost military tactics to penetrate advanced American defense lines, including protective systems associated with the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, stationed in Middle Eastern territorial waters.
The report explained that the Houthi attacks, carried out using precision missiles and relatively cheap drones, have become capable of disrupting American defense systems designed to intercept more complex and larger threats.
The platform added that these attacks pose an increasing challenge to the Pentagon, as low-cost combat tools are managing to bypass defense systems that rely on advanced technology and cost hundreds of millions of dollars.
These developments raise serious questions about the effectiveness of the U.S. military presence in the region, especially amid escalating tensions in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, and the growing impact of the attacks on international shipping routes.
The success of these attacks also highlights a transformation in the nature of modern warfare, which is no longer decided solely by technological superiority, but by tactical flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
The USS Carl Vinson is considered one of the most prominent symbols of U.S. naval power, and any breach of its security is seen as a direct blow to America’s defense credibility in the region.
