Israel on the Brink of Collapse… Who Will Seize the Opportunity?

NYN | News

In a speech delivered Thursday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Houthis (Ansar Allah), praised the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza, describing it as one of the greatest manifestations of resilience in the face of genocide and total destruction.

He emphasized that the continued endurance of Gaza for more than a year and a half stands as a decisive proof for the Islamic nation and a test of its stances.

Al-Houthi noted that despite Israel’s overwhelming military superiority, it has failed to achieve its objectives or fully control the Gaza Strip, while the resistance fighters have displayed extraordinary courage amid limited resources and dire humanitarian conditions—reflecting both their sacrifices and the deep popular support behind them.

Criticizing the complacent Arab positions, al-Houthi condemned voices that attack the resistance or even oppose offering Arab support to it, arguing that such rhetoric only serves the occupation.

He added that those who support Palestine are targeted by vicious media campaigns, denouncing how some parties treat Yemen’s pro-Palestine stance with criticism instead of appreciation.

Mockingly, he asked: “Has the world turned upside down because Yemen took a clear stand in support of Gaza? Was Yemen erased from the map?” He answered: “On the contrary, what Yemen has done is a brave and honorable position that embodies true belief in the Palestinian cause—and should be an example for Arabs and Muslims alike.”

He pointed out that early estimates did not expect Palestinians to endure more than a week, stressing that over a year and a half of resilience demands that hesitant voices reassess their positions—and urged unity with the resistance instead of opposing it.

In another part of his address, al-Houthi spoke about significant shifts in global public opinion, noting a decline in popular support for Israel—even within the U.S. and Europe—citing polls that show more than half of Americans no longer sympathize with the occupation.

He also praised the progressive stances of some Latin American and European countries and called for leveraging them to forge a unified Islamic position.

He did not overlook Israel’s internal fragility, pointing to deep divisions and disagreements among its leadership, amid a parallel crisis in the United States—ranging from cuts to the State Department’s budget to the closure of diplomatic missions. These signs, he said, must be seized by the Muslim world to impose a new reality and end the aggression.

Al-Houthi concluded with a direct call for unity across the Islamic world, saying: “Gaza’s steadfastness, Yemen’s position, and the shift in global public opinion are all sources of strength that should compel us to reflect—and to act.”
