The French magazine Orient 21 reported today new information regarding the UAE’s role in the Israeli military escalation in Yemen.
According to the magazine, recent developments in the Yemeni file come amid significant regional shifts, highlighting the potential role of Abu Dhabi and some neighboring countries in providing indirect support to Israeli attacks.
The report added that Israeli intelligence agencies have so far been unable to penetrate the structure of Sana’a forces and their leadership, unlike what happened in Lebanon and Iran, which has pushed them to increasingly rely on alternative channels.
The magazine pointed out that UAE assistance was evident in the recent operations targeting Sana’a, describing it as relying on “precise information” provided by Emirati intelligence. However, despite this, these operations failed to achieve key objectives, including the assassination of Chief of Staff Muhammad Abdul Karim al-Ghamari.
Orient 21 also noted that since the outbreak of the war in Yemen in 2015, Abu Dhabi has developed extensive intelligence networks based on financial incentives and recruitment, to the extent that it now competes with Saudi Arabia in this field, including within some Salafi groups.
