Sana’a Strikes Again: Missile and Drone in Support of Gaza

NYN | News

Just hours after a missile strike targeted the city of Eilat in southern occupied territories, a Yemeni drone breached the airspace of the city this evening, coinciding with the sound of a loud explosion in the area amid heightened military and security alert.

Activists on social media shared footage showing the drone flying over the city, while the Israeli military claimed it had intercepted the drone before it reached its intended targets.

This development comes shortly after the military spokesperson for the Sana’a-based forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced the execution of a special operation using a “Palestine 2” hypersonic ballistic missile, targeting sensitive sites in the occupied Jerusalem area, affirming the success of the operation and the achievement of its objectives.

Saree stated that the operation was carried out in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and in response to the genocide and dangerous escalation perpetrated by the Israeli occupation against civilians in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that support operations would continue until the aggression stops and the blockade on Gaza is lifted.

The armed forces in Sana’a continue to monitor developments in Gaza, affirming their coordination with the resistance factions and their readiness to take appropriate actions based on the situation on the ground.
