A Global Spy Network Sends Its Signals – Is Its Next Destination Sana’a?

NYN | News

Former head of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency, Yossi Cohen, announced today that Israel possesses a wide network of modified communication devices deployed across several countries worldwide—indicating a large-scale international intelligence operation.

In remarks reported by the Hebrew newspaper “Israel Hayom,” Cohen explained that Mossad’s network includes equipment such as pagers and wireless communication devices. He noted that the details regarding the locations and types of these devices remain classified, and that some of them are designed for espionage purposes or for carrying out precise field missions.

Cohen added a notable comment: “Except for Gaza—if we had similar devices there, we would have known the date of October 7,” implicitly referring to the intelligence limitations Israel faces in certain areas.

He reaffirmed that these devices are used in many countries around the world, without disclosing their exact locations or missions, and clarified that some may be equipped with special technologies for carrying out specific intelligence and operational tasks.
