The leader of the Houthis (Ansar Allah), Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, revealed details of the military operations carried out by Sana’a forces in support of Gaza since mid-March. He also gave a firm statement regarding the outcome of the recent confrontation between Iran and Israel, describing it as “a great victory for the Islamic nation.”
In a televised address, al-Houthi stated that during the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah alone, Sana’a forces launched 25 ballistic and hypersonic missiles and drones targeting deep inside Israel. This brought the total number of attacks since mid-Ramadan to 309, consisting of various missiles and drones.
He confirmed that the blockade of the Red Sea against Israeli shipping remains fully in effect, noting that the port of “Umm al-Rashrash” (Eilat) has been out of service for weeks. This, he said, reflects the continued maritime pressure on Israel as part of a broader strategy to economically encircle the enemy.
In assessing the direct confrontation between Tehran and Tel Aviv, al-Houthi described the events as a clear defeat for the Israeli enemy, praising what he called the dense waves of Iranian missiles that rained down on Israeli territory, plunging the country into an unprecedented state of paralysis and fear.
He argued that Israel even failed to sustain its aggression for a full two weeks, asserting that the Israeli attack achieved none of its objectives, while Iran managed to repel the aggression and stop it without offering any concessions or conditions.
Al-Houthi emphasized that the assault on Iran was not merely a passing escalation, but part of an “Israeli-American plan to redraw the Middle East.” He added that Iran’s thwarting of this plan preserved regional balance and prevented the region from falling under Zionist domination.
He described the Iranian missiles as “a terrifying nightmare for Israel,” claiming that Israeli settlers experienced widespread panic and fear, especially as civilians sought shelter and the army hesitated in the face of Iranian deterrence.
Al-Houthi concluded by saying that Israel’s failure to achieve its goals in Iran marks a strategic shift in the balance of power, asserting that the Islamic Republic has proven to be a major obstacle to Western control projects in the region.
