A study issued by the Yemeni Currency Union (CCY) indicates that #Yemen is the third most remittance-dependent country in the world, after #Tajikistan and #Tonga, with remittances accounting for more than 38% of its GDP. However, escalating sanctions and the ongoing economic war threaten to sever this vital financial lifeline for millions of Yemeni families.
