Mousa Abu Marzouk, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, clarified the concept of “unifying the fronts” during an interview on the “Newsmaker” program on Russia Today.
Abu Marzouk explained that “the unification of fronts means linking the arenas in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq to halt the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip.”
He added, “This is a clear message to all parties that these people are indeed fulfilling their responsibilities, and others should do a quarter of what these are doing.”
Regarding his view on ending the war, Abu Marzouk asserted that “the Israeli army will be broken and will leave Gaza defeated.”
He continued, “The decision to withdraw is an Israeli one, and we see the disputes arising between the army on one side and the United States on the other.”
He considered the changes seen in the Israeli scene “a result of failure, not success… failure produces such disputes… and they have not achieved any of their objectives except for their dead and remaining captives.”
