The wave of popular discontent against the policies of the Saudi-Emirati coalition continues due to the ongoing collapse of the economy and the deterioration of services in the provinces under the control of the internationally recognized government.
Today, the province of Al-Mahra witnessed a massive demonstration, during which protesters raised slogans condemning the sharp decline in living and economic conditions, the collapse of the national currency, and demanded the end of the Saudi-Emirati coalition’s presence, as well as the fall of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government.
Participants in the demonstration, which swept through the city’s streets, confirmed that the deepening economic crisis and the loss of the local currency’s value have exacerbated the suffering of citizens, amid the absence of effective solutions from the ruling authorities.
The protesters called for holding the “Saudi-Emirati coalition” responsible for its direct interventions in Yemen’s internal affairs, which they believe have contributed to worsening the crises.
The protesters also chanted slogans rejecting the policies of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, describing them as “failures” in managing internal issues and expressing their refusal to continue “foreign dependency.”
The demonstration renewed its demands for urgent measures to improve the economic situation and save the national currency from collapse.
This move comes amid escalating popular protests in several Yemeni provinces under the control of the Presidential Leadership Council.
