U.S. drones continue to fall from the skies over Yemen, reaffirming Sanaa’s forces’ ability to counter military escalation and reshape the dynamics of confrontation.
The spokesperson for Sanaa’s forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced moments ago that air defenses successfully shot down a U.S. MQ-9 drone while it was carrying out hostile operations in the airspace of Marib province.
Saree explained that the targeting was carried out using an appropriately designed domestically manufactured missile, noting that this marks the sixteenth drone downed in the ongoing battle of “The Promised Victory and Sacred Jihad” in support of the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.
Brigadier General Saree emphasized that this development comes in response to U.S. airstrikes that targeted several areas in Yemen in recent hours, resulting in casualties, injuries, and material damage to civilian properties.
He stressed that Sanaa’s forces remain committed to operations aimed at preventing Israeli navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, reaffirming continued support for the Palestinian people until the aggression against Gaza ceases and the blockade is lifted.
He also warned of further defensive operations against hostile warships in the coming days.
Saree concluded his statement by reaffirming Sanaa’s steadfast stance in defending national sovereignty and supporting just causes of the nation, emphasizing that Yemen will remain free and independent.
