Al-Houthi Sends Stern Warnings to Maritime Shipping Companies

NYN | News

The leadership of the Houthi movement (Ansar Allah) in Sana’a continues to escalate its open confrontation with Israel, announcing that it had carried out 11 military operations within a single week targeting sites inside the occupied Palestinian territories. These included the use of hypersonic missiles and drones.

In a speech delivered on Thursday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Houthi movement, confirmed the sinking of two ships belonging to companies that violated Yemen’s ban on maritime traffic linked to Israel. This, he said, led to the re-closure of the Port of Eilat (Umm al-Rashrash) after a failed attempt to reactivate it.

He emphasized Yemen’s serious stance on targeting any ships that violate the ban, stating that such vessels would become legitimate targets if detected in the operational zone.

Al-Houthi described these operations as “powerful deterrent messages,” affirming that any ship identified within the area of operations and found to be in violation of the ban would be directly targeted.

He stated that this consistent policy aims to enforce Yemen’s decision to impose an economic blockade on Israel as part of the “Loyalty to Gaza” campaign.

Al-Houthi praised what he called the “heroic steadfastness” of the Palestinian resistance, noting that the fighters in Gaza had successfully thwarted Israeli attempts to expand the confrontation to other Arab fronts. He described them as a “protective bridge” that had prevented the fragmentation of the resistance position.

He asserted that 21 months of confrontation had proven the effectiveness of the “jihadist option,” crediting these achievements to the “sacrifices of the martyr commander Mohammad Deif and his comrades.”

Al-Houthi also criticized the official stance of most Arab and Islamic regimes, including the Palestinian Authority, accusing them of moving toward “criminalizing and discrediting jihad.” He further accused the official media in these countries of spreading misinformation and distorting the image of the resistance.

He concluded by affirming that the battle against Israeli occupation still requires unity and steadfast support for the resistance option, urging the people to hold on to their inspirational figures. He specifically named Palestinian commander Mohammad Deif, describing him as a “pioneer of the jihad school” and one of the role models the nation needs in times of major transformation.
