In a development that reflects the continued capabilities of the Houthi Air Force (Ansar Allah) in countering the American military presence in the region, NBC News reported, citing American officials, that Houthi forces targeted two American aircraft early this morning. One of the aircraft was an MQ-9 Reaper drone, while the other was an F-16 fighter jet, forcing both to flee from Yemeni airspace.
This achievement comes as part of previous successes by the Houthi forces (Ansar Allah) in diminishing the capabilities of the U.S. Air Force, having previously downed advanced drones and carried out precise strikes targeting U.S. military positions and hostile movements.
This development reflects the Houthis’ (Ansar Allah) ongoing efforts to establish a new deterrence equation against American air dominance in the region, at a time when regional tensions are rising, further challenging the U.S. military strategy.
