Security forces at Aden International Airport successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle valuable antiquities via air cargo on Saturday. The artifacts were in the possession of two individuals attempting to transport them out of the country.
Authorities identified the suspects as N.S.F.S, 31 years old, and H.M.A.Sh, 45 years old—both employees of an international parcel delivery company. A box containing silver-made antiquities was found in their possession.
Security officials confirmed that the suspects have been detained and legal procedures have been initiated against them, as part of ongoing efforts to combat antiquities smuggling and preserve the nation’s cultural heritage.
