Another Massacre in Yemen: U.S. Airstrikes Claim Civilian Lives

NYN | News

The United States continues its intensive aerial campaign targeting Yemeni regions, under the pretext of weakening the capabilities of the Houthis (Ansar Allah) to protect the Israeli entity. These strikes are resulting in civilian casualties and further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the country.

A short while ago, U.S. warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on various areas across Yemen, leading to the martyrdom and injury of several civilians. This has raised growing fears of a military escalation that could worsen the country’s already dire humanitarian situation.

Local sources reported that the airstrikes targeted a water project building in the Al-Mansuriyah district of Al-Hodeidah province, resulting in the death of three civilians and the injury of two others with varying degrees of severity, according to an initial toll announced by Dr. Anis Al-Asbahi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Sana’a.

U.S. fighter jets also continued their assaults for the second consecutive day, striking civilian areas east of Saada province with two airstrikes, in addition to three other raids on the Washha district in Hajjah province—sparking widespread concern over the intensification of military operations.

In a related development, U.S. forces launched an airstrike on the Wasab district in Dhamar province. These attacks came less than 24 hours after 15 airstrikes were carried out in Saada and five more targeted the Jarban area in the Sanhan district, south of the capital, Sana’a.

This escalation comes amid growing warnings of the severe humanitarian consequences of the American strikes, especially as infrastructure continues to be damaged and civilians continue to fall victim.
