The leader of the Ansar Allah movement (Houthis), Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, affirmed that the retaliation for the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas, and senior Hezbollah leader Fouad Shukur “is certainly coming and will be painful.”
In a speech on Thursday regarding the developments of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and regional updates, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said, “The decision to retaliate from the Jerusalem Axis, Jihad, and Resistance against the crimes of the enemy is inevitable… The retaliation is coming, and the decision is firm. There is no retreat from it. It is a religious, humanitarian, and moral commitment. The retaliation is a sincere commitment from those who have been tested in their sincerity in both words and actions, and it is a necessary action to deter the enemy.”
Al-Houthi continued, “The Americans are making every effort to contain the retaliation through political steps, including talks of dialogue and negotiations and warnings about their impact… Hamas dealt wisely with this political path and responded with a prudent move that exposes the Americans and their military maneuvers. The American naval deployments and the arrival of aircraft at American bases in Arab countries cannot cancel the decision to retaliate.”
He added, “The retaliation against the enemy is a strategic decision and a necessary action to deter the criminal, mean, and bold Israeli enemy from committing more crimes. Regardless of the efforts to contain the retaliation, they are bound to fail, and the decision is inevitable from all support fronts… The delay in retaliation is a practical measure to make it more painful for the enemy, in response to the American mobilization to hinder and minimize its impact.”
The Ansar Allah leader continued, “The delay has had a practical effect on the enemy, which has never before been in such a state of fear, with flights being canceled and settlers in a state of anxiety… Everyone within the enemy entity is in a state of panic and fear. Their media is talking about it, their reality testifies to it, and the consequences are ongoing and evident.”
Abdul-Malik al-Houthi also stated, “Despite the media disinformation by the enemies, the retaliation is certainly coming, and without a doubt, no one should pay attention to that.”
He added, “The Lebanese support front is continuing its operations strongly, escalating and impacting the enemies… In the media field, video footage attests to the effectiveness and impact of the Lebanese support front’s operations… There is great Zionist fear and anxiety about Hezbollah’s retaliation, with the enemy calculating a thousand possibilities, as they expect it to be a painful and impactful response.”
He clarified, “On the Yemeni front, operations against ships were carried out this week with 15 ballistic and cruise missiles and a drone, and the operations are ongoing… The retaliation for the Zionist aggression on Hodeidah is certainly coming, with its own path, preparations, and tactics, and it has its dedicated capabilities,” adding, “This week, the American hostile airstrikes totaled 10, with eight in Hodeidah and two in Hajjah and Sanaa.”
Al-Houthi concluded, “In the promised conquest and holy jihad, 73 martyrs and 181 wounded have achieved the honor of martyrdom in the way of God… Our dear people are making sacrifices and offering martyrs in the way of God, affirming their steadfastness while most of the nation’s people have failed to support Palestine.”
