Israeli circles are showing great interest in the military and political messages issued by the Houthi movement “Ansar Allah,” following a series of impactful strikes on the economic and commercial routes Israel has relied upon over the past two years, according to Israel’s Channel 12.
The channel quoted a senior Israeli security official as saying that Tel Aviv is closely monitoring the announcements made by Houthi (Ansar Allah) leadership regarding the next phase, noting that the Yemeni operations in support of Gaza have pushed Israel’s security establishment to reassess its evaluations.
The official explained that “the Houthis’ attempts to enhance their capabilities are worrying for Israel,” stressing that Tel Aviv will not allow this power to grow and will confront it with strict measures.
According to the report, the Houthis (Ansar Allah) have become Israel’s most persistent adversaries during the war, after their attacks paralyzed activity at the port of Eilat and ballistic missiles and drones reached deep into the occupied territories — including the attack that disrupted air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport for months, and another strike that directly hit Ramon Airport.
The channel added that the halt in fighting in Gaza was accompanied by a pause in Yemeni operations, but the current indicators — as it described — point to preparations for a new round.
It also referred to a message from the new Chief of Staff of Sana’a forces, Yusuf al-Madani, to the al-Qassam Brigades, in which he affirmed that “any resumption of aggression on Gaza will be met with the return of Yemeni operations inside the Zionist entity and the reimposition of the blockade on Israeli navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.”
It is noteworthy that the leader of “Ansar Allah,” Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, confirmed in one of his speeches that a new confrontation with Israel is “inevitable,” stressing readiness at all levels.
