Israel’s economic crisis has deepened, with the Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth confirming that the situation is growing increasingly dire.
According to Al Jazeera, the newspaper reported that thousands of people are lining up to receive food parcels as economic hardships continue to mount.
Knesset member Meir Cohen stated that these food lines are a direct result of the soaring prices imposed by Netanyahu’s government.
Cohen added that the government fails to realize that there are people in Israel who have nothing to eat.
Amid the crisis, observers point to the naval blockade imposed by Yemen on Israel as one of the main contributors to the worsening economic conditions in the Israeli state.
This marks the first time since the occupation of Palestinian territories that Israel has faced such a severe economic crisis, with the country encountering challenges of this scale for the first time.
