Blows Without Impact and Empty Messages

NYN | News

Israel’s power is unraveling, piece by piece, under the weight of attacks by the Houthis (Ansar Allah), according to a shocking report published Sunday by the Hebrew-language newspaper Israel Hayom. The report discusses the deep and officially unacknowledged impact of the operations carried out by the Sanaa-based forces against Israel.

The newspaper stated that the security and economic cost of these attacks is far higher than what the government admits. It pointed out that the Yemeni naval blockade has paralyzed Israel’s trade with the Far East and has effectively shut down the port of Eilat.

Despite Israel’s escalation through a series of airstrikes on Yemeni territory, the paper confirmed that these strikes have had no real effect, describing them as mere public relations attacks with the sole purpose of boosting morale within Israel.

The report acknowledged that Israel’s response appeared weak and has emboldened the Houthis (Ansar Allah) to carry out further attacks. It even hinted at the possibility that the conflict could escalate into the airspace, predicting that the Sanaa forces might begin targeting Israeli aircraft if Tel Aviv continues to ignore the threat.

In discussing the capabilities of the Houthis (Ansar Allah), the newspaper noted that although they are viewed as a militia from a poor country, the Houthis have demonstrated remarkable proficiency in operating an advanced system of drones and missiles—despite Israeli airstrikes failing to hinder them.

The report concluded with a question: Are there those in the Israeli leadership who are counting on the end of the Gaza war as a de facto solution to silence the Yemeni front? The paper warned that this bet could prove very costly in the long run, given the ongoing erosion of Israel’s deterrent image.
