Once again, the internationally recognized government proves that it is merely a conduit for external orders, incapable of making decisions that serve its citizens.
Informed sources revealed that sudden instructions have been issued to stop accepting crossing requests to Saudi Arabia through the Al-Wadea border crossing. This decision has caused outrage among thousands of Yemenis who rely on this crossing as the only way to travel.
According to sources, this measure comes in response to Saudi pressure due to increased congestion with the arrival of Ramadan. It seems the government lacks the authority to organize crossing in a way that takes into account the interests of its citizens, instead opting for the easiest solution by closing the door to people without prior notice.
The issue doesn’t stop here, as the government has also disabled the “Crossing App,” which was designed to organize the movement of travelers, further increasing the chaos and disrupting the plans of many Yemenis who wish to travel.
According to activists, this step reflects a catastrophic failure in managing border crossings, once again confirming that this “government” is nothing more than a tool for implementing foreign policies, with no regard for the suffering of its people.
