Military analyst Ali al-Nassi revealed new details moments ago regarding the mission of the Emirati-American military committee that arrived in Shabwah Governorate weeks ago to assess military units stationed there.

He confirmed that the committee is operating under the direct supervision of the Israeli Military Intelligence Directorate (Aman), with the involvement of the Israeli Air and Combat Operations Divisions, as well as a representative from the Israeli General Staff’s Reconnaissance Unit. This coordination is reportedly being conducted jointly with Mossad and Emirati intelligence services.

Al-Nassi stated that the committee began its work the Wednesday before last inside Ataq Airport, where it conducted a comprehensive military inspection of several companies from the Shabwah Defense Forces.

He added that the committee has so far completed the assessment of an entire brigade from these forces, with plans to finish evaluating the remaining brigades during the month of October.

According to the information provided by al-Nassi, the plan will later include evaluating the Giants Brigades and the forces of the Saba Axis stationed in Shabwah and southwestern Marib, in phases throughout November and December.

He noted that the assessment process is accompanied by specialized training sessions at the airport, with the committee utilizing foreign experts from private security firms and former officers from Latin America. The goal, he explained, is to rehabilitate and restructure these units in line with joint Emirati-American-Israeli military plans.

Al-Nassi concluded that the committee is expected to complete its assessment and training operations before the end of 2025, as part of broader efforts to reshape the military influence map in Shabwah and its surrounding strategic areas.
