The Central Bank of Yemen in Sanaa maintained, on Sunday, the exchange rates of the US dollar and the Saudi riyal against the Yemeni riyal without any change, according to its daily statement published on its official website and reviewed by Yemen Al-Jadeed News.
Officially Approved Currency Rates
The statement, issued by the Foreign Exchange Transactions Unit, explained that the upper limit for the selling price of the Saudi riyal against the Yemeni riyal remains stable at 140 Yemeni riyals, while the selling price of the US dollar has been fixed at 530.50 Yemeni riyals.
US Dollar–Saudi Riyal Exchange Rate
Regarding the exchange rate between foreign currencies, the Central Bank set the selling price of the US dollar against the Saudi riyal at 3.79 Saudi riyals per US dollar, within the list of officially approved rates for formal transactions.
Update and Announcement Mechanism
The Central Bank affirmed that if any change occurs in the approved rates during the day, the new prices will be published immediately upon approval by the Foreign Exchange Transactions Unit through its official channels.
Reporting Violations
The Bank called on citizens and relevant entities to report any violations or submit complaints related to exchange rates by calling the toll-free number (8006800) or the number (01274327).
