The Chinese media platform Shai Zhong published an analysis stating that the Houthis’ shift from traditional warfare to asymmetric warfare not only reflects the adaptability of the armed forces in Sanaa but also makes it challenging for the United States and Israel to establish effective deterrence against them.
According to the analysis, Sanaa’s armed forces are no longer a traditional local force but have evolved into a military power capable of competing with some major countries.
In this context, the report highlighted the ongoing attack by the Houthis (Ansar Allah) on the American aircraft carrier USS Truman in the Red Sea. The attacks, carried out using drones and missiles, forced the carrier to change its course suddenly.
This attack not only disrupted the deployment of the U.S. military but also shocked the U.S. Department of Defense. The report noted that the ability of a local armed group like the Houthis (Ansar Allah) to threaten a U.S. aircraft carrier demonstrates significant advancements in their military and technical capabilities.
