Dangerous Movements Detected… Sanaa Issues Direct Warning via the United Nations

NYN | News

Warnings from Sanaa about the outbreak of a full-scale war in the region are escalating, as tensions intensify between the Israeli entity and the Islamic Republic of Iran, alongside signs that some countries may be preparing to take part in a possible aggression.

In this context, the President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, issued a direct message this evening to what he called the “potentially involved parties,” stressing that Yemen will not stand idle in the face of any participation in aggression against Iran.

In a statement reported by the SABA News Agency, Al-Mashat announced that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had been instructed to send an official memorandum to the United Nations, notifying it of suspicious movements by certain member states. He affirmed that Yemen would confront any aggression involving these countries by all legitimate means, warning that anyone who participates “will pay a heavy price for their decision.”

He pointed out that Sanaa is preparing to take field-level measures through the Humanitarian Operations Center, in accordance with Yemeni laws. He stressed that what he described as “regional silence” is merely a postponement of disaster, urging Arab and Islamic nations to take a unified stance before the flames engulf everyone without exception.

In a notably stern tone, Al-Mashat said Yemen’s position is based on humanitarian, religious, and moral considerations, supported by international charters and national laws. He warned that any U.S. military intervention in support of Israel “will only lead to deeper entanglement” and will be met with practical Yemeni responses on the ground.

These statements came just hours after a fiery declaration from the armed forces in Sanaa, in which they confirmed they would target American ships and warships in the Red Sea the moment Washington becomes militarily involved against Iran. They warned that the sea could become an open arena for deterrence.

The messages coming from Sanaa clearly indicate that any miscalculation by Washington or its allies could ignite the entire region, as diplomatic channels alone are no longer sufficient to contain what Sanaa describes as a “grand violation scheme.”
