Defensive Vulnerabilities Exposed by Sana’a… Attack Puts Iron Dome in a Bind

NYN | News

A recent report published by the American newspaper Grand Pinnacle Tribune stated that drones operated by Sana’a forces have brought about a qualitative shift in the regional balance of power after proving their ability to penetrate some of the world’s most advanced air-defense systems, including Israel’s multi-layered defense platforms.

The newspaper confirmed that the Houthis (Ansar Allah) repeatedly used these drones during the war on Gaza and succeeded in bypassing the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Arrow systems—delivering a strategic shock to Israel, which has long boasted of its technological superiority.

The report explained that the attack targeting the city of Eilat on September 24, 2025, resulted in 22 injuries, including two in critical condition, in one of the most precise and daring operations since the start of the war.

The attack occurred during the Jewish New Year holiday, exposing deep security gaps within Israel’s air-defense network.

The newspaper added that the operation constitutes one of the most striking breaches in recent years and has demonstrated the fragility of Israel’s defenses in the face of the asymmetric warfare tactics developed by Yemenis through innovative, locally acquired expertise.
