On Tuesday, Sanaa’s forces carried out a dual military operation targeting Israeli sites in the Negev region and the Port of Eilat (Umm Al-Rashrash), marking a new escalation in their declared stance of support for Gaza and rejection of what they described as “genocide” against the Palestinian people.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the armed forces in Sanaa, stated that the Air Force conducted an attack using three drones. Two of them targeted a “significant military site” in the Negev, while the third struck the port of Umm Al-Rashrash. He confirmed that the operation “successfully achieved its objectives, by the grace of God.”
Saree emphasized that these operations are carried out in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and their resistance fighters, and in rejection of what he called the “shameful international silence” regarding the massacres committed by the Israeli military in the Gaza Strip.
He added that the ongoing Israeli aggression targets women and children and destroys homes and tents, holding the Islamic and Arab nations religiously and historically responsible for confronting what is happening.
The military spokesperson stressed that Sanaa’s military operations will continue until the aggression is halted and the siege on Gaza is lifted, affirming that Yemen is fulfilling its role within its means to support the oppressed and to oppose the violation of Arab and Islamic countries.
This escalation comes amid continued aerial and naval operations launched by Sanaa’s forces against Israeli-linked targets since the outbreak of the war in Gaza last October.
