The Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Research Center in Dhamar recorded a light earthquake on Tuesday morning, measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale. Residents on the outskirts of Abyan Governorate felt the tremor, though no damage was reported.
According to a statement issued by the center, the quake occurred at 10:30 a.m. local time (Sana’a), about 33 kilometers southeast of the city of Al-Bayda. The epicenter was located at the geographic coordinates (N 13.71, E 43.72).
The center noted that the tremor was classified as light but noticeable, confirming that its technical team continues to monitor seismic activity in this region and across Yemen as part of ongoing efforts for early detection and analysis of potential geological changes.
