The Ministry of Interior in Sana’a announced on Saturday that it had successfully dismantled a large espionage network linked to a joint operations room involving the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Israel’s Mossad, and Saudi intelligence.
In a televised statement, the ministry explained that the special security operation—codenamed “Their Devious Plot Will Fail”—was carried out in several phases and resulted in the arrest of all members of the network affiliated with this operations room, which was headquartered on Saudi territory.
The ministry confirmed that investigations revealed the joint operations room had coordinated sabotage and espionage activities against Yemen. It had established multiple small, semi-independent cells that were all connected to the main headquarters of the room.
The statement added that the room supplied these spy cells with advanced surveillance and intelligence-gathering equipment and that their operatives were trained by American, Israeli, and Saudi officers inside Saudi Arabia.
According to the ministry, the network’s activities included monitoring Yemen’s infrastructure, attempting to uncover military and security details, and collecting information on civilian and military leaders. It was also allegedly involved in operations targeting civilians.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that the formation of this joint intelligence room came as part of the ongoing escalation and aggression against Yemen, with the goal of disrupting Yemeni military operations and undermining Yemen’s stance in support of the Palestinian people.
