U.S. military pressure has failed to force Sana’a to halt its operations against Israel, despite continued escalation in the Red Sea and attacks on Yemeni sites.
As a sign of Washington’s failure to achieve its objectives, the United States announced in recent hours the deployment of a second aircraft carrier to the region—an action that the leader of the Houthis (Ansar Allah), Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, described as an American admission of failure.
Al-Houthi stated that Washington’s announcement of an additional aircraft carrier means that the one currently in the Red Sea has not achieved its intended purpose. He pointed out that the United States has traditionally used aircraft carriers to intimidate nations, but in Yemen’s case, these military assets have become a burden rather than a source of strength.
The Houthi leader (Ansar Allah) added that while Washington used to rely on a single aircraft carrier to threaten major powers, its current need to reinforce its military presence in the Red Sea exposes the extent of its predicament in the face of Yemen’s growing military capabilities.
This U.S. escalation comes as Yemeni operations continue to put pressure on Israel, with Sana’a successfully establishing a new deterrence equation despite ongoing military and diplomatic efforts to stop it.
