From Off the Coast of Saudi Arabia: U.S.-UK Missile Strikes Target Sanaa and Amran

NYN | News

This afternoon, the provinces of Sanaa and Amran came under a joint missile attack by the United States and the United Kingdom. American and British missiles targeted the Jarban area in Sanhan, south of Sanaa, while five missiles struck Harf Sufyan District in Amran.

Local sources confirmed that the attack on these provinces was carried out by U.S. warships deployed in the sea off the coast of Saudi Arabia.

In a statement, U.S. Central Command confirmed conducting precision strikes on underground facilities in areas controlled by the Sanaa government, claiming these sites were being used to store advanced conventional weapons. The statement also alleged that these facilities had been utilized by the Houthis (Ansar Allah) to launch attacks on U.S. warships.

This escalation by Washington and London against Sanaa comes at a critical time, potentially leading to severe repercussions for international shipping lanes and further complicating the regional landscape.
