A fuel tanker exploded early Friday in Al-Bayda Governorate, central Yemen, triggering a state of alert among local residents at the scene.
Activists on social media reported the explosion of the tanker in the Al-Shariyah area.
According to sources, the blast occurred after a massive fire broke out in the tanker while it was passing through the Al-Shariyah road, resulting in flames and thick plumes of smoke rising in the area.
There is no confirmed information yet about the fate of the tanker’s driver, and the cause of the fire and explosion remains unknown at the time of reporting.
