Gaza Truce: The Calm Before the Storm

NYN | News

In a speech delivered Monday evening marking the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Ghamari, the leader of Ansar Allah (the Houthis), Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, declared that Yemen ranks first among Arab countries in military production and defense industry capabilities. He described Israel as weak and a loser, despite the crimes it commits.

Al-Houthi stated that the rounds of fighting in Gaza and Lebanon have exposed the vulnerabilities of the Israeli enemy, affirming that it has suffered major losses both on the ground and internationally.

He emphasized that portraying brutal acts as military achievements is both misleading and erroneous, asserting that committing massacres is neither a military nor strategic success, but rather a sign of failure.

Al-Houthi reiterated Yemen’s leading role in Arab military manufacturing, and stressed that Israeli efforts—backed by the U.S. and the UK—have failed to crush the capabilities of the Yemeni people or force them to abandon their stance.

He added that Sanaa is currently at its strongest point in comparison to all previous phases, having made significant progress on all fronts.

Addressing the situation in Lebanon, Al-Houthi said attempts to eliminate the resistance have failed, noting that Hezbollah has remained resilient and steadfast despite heavy sacrifices. He asserted that confrontation with Iran has yielded no tangible gains for Israel, and that mounting pressure has driven it to seek mediators to halt the conflict.

He argued that the ongoing massacres and crimes are not signs of success, but indicators of failure.

On the Yemeni front, Al-Houthi described the current phase as one of great victory and remarkable steadfastness, highlighting the role of Yemen’s tribes and their combat experience. He confirmed that public mobilization would be intensified, and that efforts to build and enhance readiness across all levels would continue.

Regarding the Gaza ceasefire agreement, Al-Houthi stated that Sanaa’s forces would remain fully prepared to resume operations and escalate if aggression and genocide against the Palestinian people were to resume. He emphasized that no compromises would be made on their religious or national principles.

Al-Houthi concluded his speech by reaffirming his belief that the conflict would ultimately end in favor of what he called “the righteous,” predicting the downfall of the Israeli enemy and the triumph of those who have responded to God’s call.
