Good News for Employees: Salaries Begin to Move

NYN | News

The Ministries of Finance and Civil Service & Administrative Development in Sana’a have announced the start of issuing financial disbursements for the June 2025 salaries of public service units included in the monthly payment list. This is part of the salary disbursement program stemming from the Exceptional Mechanism Law to provide salaries for state employees and repay small depositors.

A joint statement from the two ministries confirmed that the financial disbursements have been issued by the Ministry of Finance to the Central Bank of Yemen, and from there to both the General Postal Authority and the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank), based on the payrolls approved by the Ministry of Civil Service.

The statement noted that the salary payment process is being directly monitored by the President of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, and the Prime Minister, Ahmed Al-Rahwi, as part of the Government of Change and Development’s commitment to providing monthly salaries as previously announced.

The statement emphasized that the exceptional mechanism is a temporary solution imposed by current circumstances. It also stressed that this does not absolve the coalition countries involved in the war of their responsibility to pay salaries and compensation to affected employees, as these countries control oil and gas revenues that were previously used to fund salaries before the war began.
