Haaretz Embarrasses Netanyahu: Why Are Israel and the United States Failing to Break the Houthis?
Hebrew Newspaper Acknowledges the Rise of Yemeni Power and Reveals the Collapse of “Washington Axis” Bets in the Region

NYN | Reports and Analyses
The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz has acknowledged the inability of the United States and “Israel” to defeat Ansar Allah (the Houthis), arguing that the bet on forming a joint military axis in Yemen was based on misleading assumptions that have proven to be false in light of recent developments in the conflict—particularly the tensions between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi in the south of the country.
Ansar Allah: A Force Difficult to Contain
In a lengthy analytical article by Zionist writer Zvi Bar’el, the newspaper affirmed that Ansar Allah have transformed into a military and political force that is difficult to stop. It pointed out that Yemen’s geography, fighting will, and accumulated experience have constituted decisive factors that have challenged the “American–Israeli” alliance and its tools.
The Collapse of the Illusion of Axes and Alliances
Haaretz argued that the dramatic developments in recent days within the conflict among Washington’s allies inside Yemen clearly reveal the collapse of the idea of “axes” on which the United States and “Israel” have wagered in the Middle East, exposing the fragility of so-called solid alliances, including the Abraham Accords.
Geography Does Not Create Victory
The analysis stressed that the belief that geographical proximity to Yemen—such as a presence in Somaliland—could grant “Israel” and the United States a decisive military advantage is a misleading notion whose results do not withstand the realities and complexities of the battlefield.
