Hebrew Media Warns: The “Yemeni Scenario” Haunts the Occupation Entity
Maariv: Tel Aviv Fears Washington May Abandon It in Any Future Regional Confrontation

NYN | Reports and Analyses
The Hebrew-language newspaper Maariv has revealed growing anxiety within the occupation entity over the possibility of a repeat of what it described as the “Yemeni scenario,” referring to fears within the Israeli security establishment of a sudden decline in U.S. support that could leave it facing any potential military escalation in the region alone.
Security Concerns Over a Sudden U.S. Withdrawal
According to the report, military and security circles within the occupation entity continue to recall the U.S. operation “Rough Rider” carried out against Yemen in March 2025, which—according to the newspaper—ended with an American withdrawal after failing to halt the naval operations of Sana’a forces in the Red Sea, as well as the continuation of Yemeni attacks toward the occupation entity.
Zionist Source: Fear of a Repeat of “American Flight”
The newspaper quoted a Zionist military source as saying that Tel Aviv’s primary concern is that the U.S. president could retreat under the pressure of resilience and counter-response, and be forced into a rapid withdrawal from the region “as happened in Yemen,” potentially leaving the occupation entity facing field developments beyond its control.
Yemen as an Alarming Model for Decision-Makers in Tel Aviv
Maariv concluded that the Yemeni experience has become an alarming model for decision-makers within the occupation entity, having demonstrated—according to the paper—that Washington may roll back its military commitments when the costs of confrontation rise, while Sana’a continues its operations despite political pressure and military strikes failing to deter it.
