Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, the leader of the Houthi movement “Ansar Allah,” has issued what he describes as the final warning to Saudi Arabia, cautioning against “serious consequences” including the potential failure of “Vision 2030.”
In a televised speech on Thursday addressing the latest developments in the region, al-Houthi stated: “We advise and warn Saudi Arabia of serious consequences and losses in every sense of the word if it continues on its path of aggression.” He added, “If Saudi Arabia entangles itself and insists on its unjustified aggressive steps against our dear people, it will be the loser.”
He continued, “If Saudi Arabia is willing to sacrifice its future and lose its economic plans for the sake of Israel and the United States, then Vision 2030 and plans to develop Riyadh Airport to be one of the largest in the world will be futile.”
Al-Houthi also said, “There is a big difference between Saudi Arabia’s unjust escalation in obedience to America and service to Israel, and our country’s stance, which defends against injustice and supports the Palestinian people in obedience to God.” He added, “The Americans are currently seeking to involve their clients in the battle instead of or alongside them.”
In his speech, al-Houthi stated, “Our dear people, through their massive march last Friday, have sent a warning to the Saudi regime, the Qarun of this age and the horn of Satan. The Saudi regime must understand and realize that the voices of millions last Friday echoed across the seven continents carrying a serious warning.”
Earlier this year, al-Houthi threatened to target key vital installations in Saudi Arabia, including airports, banks, and ports, accusing Saudi Arabia of taking “hostile steps against the Yemeni people in service of America and Israel.” In a televised speech, he said, “The most important focus of American hostility towards our country is the economic sphere because its harm affects everyone.
The Americans sent a message to Sana’a confirming that they would push Saudi Arabia to take hostile steps against Yemen.” He added, “The pressure to move banks from Sana’a is a crazy and stupid step. No one in the world thinks this way.”
He pointed out that “the Americans know the adverse impact of moving the banks on the living conditions of the Yemeni people, their currency, and prices in the country.”
