Houthi Leader to Katz: You Threaten to Occupy Sanaa While Failing to Protect Your Own Ships

NYN | News

A senior member of the political bureau of the Houthi movement “Ansar Allah,” Mohammed Al-Farah, mocked Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s (correct name: Yoav Gallant, but the original text says Yisrael Katz) threats, describing his statements as a reflection of the state of incapacity and fear that Tel Aviv is experiencing in light of the escalating naval operations.

In a post on the “X” platform, Al-Farah said:
“Anyone who talks about raising their flag in Sanaa should first reopen the paralyzed Eilat Port and raise their flag again on ships that now hide under the flags of other nations out of fear of our navy.” He added:
“You threaten to occupy Sanaa while you’re incapable of even recovering the Israeli ship Galaxy.”

Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz had threatened to target the leader of the “Ansar Allah” movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, and to raise the Israeli flag over Sanaa.

For his part, Hazem Al-Asad, also a member of the political bureau of the movement, considered Katz’s statements “a clear expression of defeatism” in the face of the ongoing attacks carried out by Sanaa’s forces against Israeli interests.

The Houthi (Ansar Allah) operations continue in the Red Sea, causing major disruption to the Port of Eilat and severely affecting Israeli maritime navigation. They have also targeted strategic locations, including Ben Gurion Airport, as part of their support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.
