International Institutions Rise Up Against Israel… Vatican Cries Out: “Stop the Barbarism”

NYN | Reports and Analyses

Amid deafening international silence, UN and human rights organizations are escalating warnings of an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, where families are facing what international reports now describe as a full-blown famine.

As humanitarian aid shipments turn into death traps, the suffering of over two million people trapped in the besieged enclave continues to deepen.

Starvation Strikes Children… Death Arrives Before Aid

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) stated that families in Gaza are facing catastrophic hunger, confirming that children are suffering from acute malnutrition — with some dying before any food assistance can reach them.

The agency also reported that people searching for food are being killed, as Israeli forces open fire on many attempting to reach aid convoys.

UNICEF: Gaza Has Become a Graveyard for Children

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) described the situation in Gaza as tragically dire, declaring the territory a “graveyard for children.” The organization held the international community responsible for its failure, which has enabled the continuation of mass killings.

Hunger Used as a Weapon of War

The UN humanitarian office warned that using starvation as a weapon of war is illegal and immoral, stressing that unimpeded access to humanitarian aid is not a matter of choice, but a legal and moral obligation.

The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) also criticized Israel’s imposed aid distribution system as ineffective, asserting that it has both the systems and expertise to deliver aid efficiently in Gaza — yet Israeli authorities are preventing the agency from carrying out its humanitarian work.

World Food Programme: The Hungry Are Shot While Waiting for Food

The World Food Programme (WFP) reported that crowds waiting for aid in Gaza have come under direct fire from Israeli tanks and snipers, despite doing nothing but trying to access food.

WFP added that one in every three people in the Gaza Strip goes days without eating and issued an urgent appeal to the international community and all relevant parties to immediately facilitate the delivery of food aid — warning that the famine is at risk of escalating into full-scale genocide.

UN Rapporteur: Israel Is Erasing Palestinians… The World Is Rewarding It

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, declared that the situation in Gaza has reached a level beyond description, affirming that Israel’s intent is clear: to erase the Palestinian people from Gaza.

She added, “We cannot speak of a two-state solution while a genocide is being committed in broad daylight,” accusing the international community of rewarding Israel for these crimes — referencing ongoing Western support despite the documented violations.

Outrage Even From the Vatican

The Pope has called for an immediate end to the “barbaric war” on Gaza, describing the events as a disgrace to the conscience of humanity.

The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom commented on the Pope’s statement, noting that he issued an unprecedented criticism of Israeli policies toward civilians and labeled Israel’s actions in Gaza as “barbaric.”

Medical Reality: Famine Killing in Silence

Dr. Munir Al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, announced that dozens of people were martyred just today — including 78 who died while seeking aid.

He noted that 18 individuals died in just the past few hours due to famine and severe malnutrition.

A Systematic Mass Killing Project

Humanitarian organizations unanimously agreed that the aid distribution mechanism adopted by the United States and Israel is part of a criminal scheme that uses food as a tool of death. They emphasized that safe delivery methods do exist but are deliberately blocked, in clear violation of international law.

The crisis continues to deepen amid global complicity, as neither the United States nor Israel faces any real pressure to stop the catastrophic trajectory — while Gaza’s children race against time between hunger and death.
