Israeli warplanes renewed their airstrikes today on several Yemeni provinces, targeting civilian buildings and residential neighborhoods in the capital, Sana’a, and Al-Jawf Governorate.
The spokesperson for the Oil Company stated that one of the strikes hit the medical station designated for the healthcare sector on Sixty Street, southwest of Sana’a, causing severe damage to the facility.
In Al-Jawf, a senior military source told Al Mayadeen that the airstrikes targeted the governorate’s government complex, a public service building with no connection to any military activity. The source considered this targeting as evidence of the “failure and inability to achieve the goals of the aggression.”
The source added that the bombing led to the fall of a number of civilian martyrs and wounded, stressing that such sacrifices “will not deter Yemen from continuing its support for Gaza and confronting the Israeli entity.”
The same source pointed out that the Israeli airstrikes focused purely on civilian targets, describing this tactic as “ineffective in stopping Yemen from playing its role in the battle.”
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Sana’a-based armed forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that Yemeni air defenses launched several surface-to-air missiles in response to the raids, forcing some Israeli formations to retreat before carrying out their missions. He confirmed that Yemeni forces succeeded in thwarting the majority of the attack.
